Happy Thanksgiving, And A Statement For Homemakers

November 22, 2018

Hey y'all, it's me!

First of all, I want to wish all my dear readers a Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving today. I am thankful for every single one of you who has stopped by to read my humble blatherings and, hopefully find something that you can use for your own journey in life. I am thankful for the one timers, who simply read and then move on, and I am really thankful for the folks who keep coming back and reading about my adventures, and then take the time to comment and encourage. Thank you all.

I was doing some decluttering of old paperwork, and I came across a poster that I had made when I was a full time massage therapist. I had seen the words on a pizza parlor counter, and decided that it fit my work in massage, so I made my own poster for my clinics.

Today I saw my old poster, and I realized that it really fits what we as homemakers do every day. As much as I love YouTube and other web sites, as much as I enjoy the many tools and gadgets that God has graced my little home with, nothing will ever replace the element of our humanity as we work to create safe, comforting homes, nourish hungry stomachs and hearts, and instill the love of Jesus in the souls of our families.

So I went to www.canva.com, and created a new poster to hang in my kitchen. I offer it to you as well, so you can take the words and let them minister to you as you go about your daily work as a wife, momma, and homemaker. Whether you are a stay at home or a work outside the home, you are valuable.

Well, I still got chores. Later y'all.

  1. Home making is an art form and a skill developed over a long period of time and due to love and necessity. Blessed is the home that has these skills.
