More Movie Magic

June 18, 2017

Hey ya'll, it's me!

Saturday we got back to filming the movie our Cowboy Church is making. We only need next Saturday and Sunday to finish up all the scenes and a few reshoots--weather permitting.

Here are a few more photos of the work.

Some of the cast and crew between scenes in the 'saloon'.

Ty Kinnebrew is our honorable Judge. Notice the revolver at his waist? It's also his court gavel.

Uh oh, looks like Richard got out of hand in the saloon, so the Redneck had to throw him out!

And of course, Tabitha, as Carmen, the lady who runs the saloon, had to back up the Redneck with her trusty shotgun. Nikki plays Ginny, who is watching the proceedings through the swinging doors.

David, Garry, Debbie and Bobby, our intrepid crew.

Of course, Drama had to get in on the act.

Jo Burrus, our lovely Pony Express rider.

In the top photo, Brent (left) was watching David (right) control the drone in the bottom photo. Hey, we are high tech Rednecks around here--we …

I'VE GOT A GOLDEN TICKET!!!!!!--Awesome Day At The Races

June 12, 2017

Hey ya'll, it's me!

This last weekend, thanks to the generosity of friends, the Redneck, myself, along with his cousin and his wife, got to go to the Indy Race at Texas Motor Speedway.

Our friends, Kenneth and Barbara, had four tickets, and invited the Redneck and I to go with them. At the last minute, they called and said that Kenneth's dad was in the ER, so they couldn't go, but we could find two more people to go with us. Charles and Margaret were thrilled with the opportunity, so we picked them up and headed to the Speedway.

We had a VIP parking pass, so we parked right in front of the building. That was nice, but we had no idea of all the delights we were about to experience through the day.

The suite (did you get that? the SUITE!) didn't open till 3:30, so we all walked around the area, looking at the different vendors.

Charles, on the right, enjoyed looking at the workings of the new trucks.

We met and got to thank the State Troopers for their…

Whew! Rainy, Busy Spring

June 8, 2017

Hey ya'll it's me!

Man, it's hard to believe that I have been back in the great state of Texas for a little over a year--just doesn't seem that long. I call Memorial Day my 'Homeaversary', since that's the day my son, my animals and I crossed that old Red River Hoss, back to Texas where Bob Wills was an awesome musician, but Jesus is the King.

Lately our time has been taken up with trying to get outside projects done--mowing, trimming, building a dog run for the three oldest ones, setting up my patio so we can actually use it, and last but far from least, my son was given a 15 foot above ground pool, so that has to be set up around the back.

But of course...

It's been raining.

For weeks.

So everything has to be put on hold until it stops--which can be intermittent at best. My place is so overgrown I am no longer embarassed. I just tell people I am doing my bit to save the ozone layer.

Another big time taker this spring has been…
